I'm not sure why they have kept this so secret. Here's the 3 page list of performers in concert at City Hall Nathan Philips Square during the PanAm Games....

...and it seems to just get better. This is from the FYI Music Newsletter....

You don’t have to be a sports fan to enjoy the Pan Am Games extravaganza. The city is hosting a 35-day celebration of Toronto’s arts and culture scene, with free concerts, art exhibitions, and a one night celebration uniquely created by Cirque du Soleil.

More than 130 musical acts are booked to perform free public concerts over multiple stages at Nathan City Square, the CIBC Pan Am Park at Exhibition Place, and in the Distillery district. Among those performing are Death From Above 1979, Flaming Lips, Austra, Colin James, Chromeo, The Roots, Lights, Stars, and Basia Bulat.

The 2015 Pan Am Games will host a free, live broadcast of the Opening Ceremony on multiple jumbo video screens this Friday at Nathan Phillips Square.

The kick-off starts at 5 pm with live entertainment, then, at 8 pm, the Opening Ceremony live feed from host broadcaster CBC will begin. The hosts for the evening will be Canadian Idol winner Eva Avila and actor/comedian Rick Miller, creator and star of the PanAmania presentation Twenty Thousand Leagues Under the Sea.

Canada’s globally celebrated cultural icon, Cirque du Soleil, creator and producer of this one-night-only original production, will infuse the ceremony with its revolutionary stagecraft, acrobatics, and pageantry to welcome the 40 countries and territories of the Americas to Canada at the Pan Am Opening Ceremonies Venue at 1 Blue Jays Way.

The following day, PanAmania Live kicks off with headliners Serena Ryder and Wyclef Jean. Each day’s free festivities will include live music and entertainment, Victory Celebrations presented by CIBC, and nightly fireworks, co-produced with the City of Toronto. Additionally, the Parapan Am Closing Ceremony will be held in Nathan Phillips Square on August 15th.
