Audiofile Linux

Postby MoodyBlue » Fri Feb 15, 2019 1:26 pm

Hi everyone
One of the pleasant surprises I have encountered since I found the Marsden Theatre is the number of folks in the chat room who use Linux. Today I found this article in my news feeds and it talks about a distribution that has been created for listening to music. The claim is that the software has been tweeked to improve sound quality: https://www.linux.com/blog/2019/2/audiophile-linux-promises-aural-nirvana.

I am not sure if I want to go into another distro (especially Arch) for this, but someone here might be interested.

cheers

John

Very cool, I'll look at that.
Wonder if it would work in a VirtualBox VM?
Hmm, only one way to find out :)

I just read the installation notes, and my eyes glazed over, and I went into a cold sweat.
That crap is precisely why I use PCLinuxOS.
Crap-free installation.

Interesting, no offence intended. But I'm just not *that* geeky
