Pink Floyd guitar legend David Gilmour has announced a new solo album. Titled "Luck and Strange," it will be Gilmour's fifth studio record, the follow-up to his 2015's "Rattle That Lock." The first song from this album, "The Piper's Call," will premiere tomorrow, April 25, through BBC 2 Radio Breakfast Show.

Slated for September 6 release through Sony Music, "Luck and Strange" marks the guitarist's first album in nine years. As the press release states, it was co-produced by David himself and Charlie Andrew, and was "recorded over five months in Brighton and London."

On the creative end, Gilmour once again collaborated with his wife, Polly Samson, who penned all of the album's lyrics. The lyrical themes are "from the point of view of being older" and include themes of mortality as the "constant."

There's a total of nine songs on it, including a cover of "Between Two Points" by The Montgolfier Brothers. Apart from Gilmour, the album also features an impressive lineup of musicians. Tom Herbert and Guy Pratt are handling bass duties. The drums were recorded by Steve DiStanislao, Adam Betts, and Steve Gadd. Rob Gentry and Roger Eno did the keyboard parts while Will Gardner did the string and choral arrangements. Joining them is also David's daughter Romany Gilmour who played the harp and contributed vocals.

The tracklist for "Luck and Strange" is:

Black Cat
Luck and Strange
The Piper's Call
A Single Spark
Vita Brevis
Between Two Points (with Romany Gilmour)
