What a surprise to find Marsden still on air.

A cornucopia of what doesn't fit anywhere else - post away.

What a surprise to find Marsden still on air.

You see in July I bought a Walmart bookshelf stereo system in Hamilton and let
the scanner give me my 20 stations. So I'm surprised it gave me what Oshawa?
in Hamilton- it skipped across the water. Imagine my surprise one night to find DM the
superior music selection and goofy strange persona.
You see there was a time when there were all sorts of fanatical personable people
on the radio years ago before the life was sucked out of it. From Dewey Phillips to Alan Freed to Daddy Cool and Wolfman Jack.
So now sometimes I turn off the crap tv and listen to your station especially Sunday night and know I'm not being feed pablum from the music machine. I thought he and David Berns should have run a decade on CFNY. Honor to find you. May you broadcast
forever. Marsbar invented before the internet.
Mike

Could you do a strange prog set some night like PFM String Driven Thing and always
remembered ( by fiddlers of a certain age) Nash the Slash. Maybe Dance after Curfew.
I'm sure your not really stoned but if you could sound extra stoned during that
it would be funny.

I'm working on it!! :-)

To Violin Mike - thanks for remembering all those year back. This stuff gives me a big smile. We never imagined way back then, that anyone would remember. Including each of us.

Your words are deeply appreciated.

violinmike, Marsbar.
I heard Dance after Curfew on the radio on Sep 27 2014.
What a treat!

My second favourite Nash interview:

On the subway ride home from his wake, my daughter and i saw a dude in a legit Fez.
No connection to Nash The Slash i think.
Made us both smile!
