I put this on the chat board, and decided maybe it should be copied here before it scrolls off into oblivion:

I noticed on the amazon.com download page for the Krueger Island album, there was an "explicit lyrics" warning for the song "Wooly Bully Blues".

The only possible line in the song that would warrant that:
[05/01/2017 - 2:46 am] @ Sunbeam
"Nevermore, Quoth the Raven, In Fact, Go Fuck Yourself".
[05/01/2017 - 2:50 am] @ Sunbeam
where did Edgar Allan Poe, and for that matter, Alan Parsons, miss the opportunity for such naked honesty?

David,
Thanks for that:

Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs have their place in the lyrics of Woolly Bully Blues, along with Bob Dylan, Carl Jung, Wilhelm Reich, Sigmund Freud, Jack the Ripper, Jesus, Arthur Conan Doyle, Basil Rathbone, Sherlock Holmes, Moriarty, Captain Kirk, The Raven, and Freddy & The Dreamers. (I may have missed a few notables :) )

The Sam The Sham & The Pharaohs Woolly Bully song definitely provided the inspiration to pull it all togther 8-)

Legend has it that the original song Woolly Bully by STSATP was banned in some radio stations for obscenity. There were no obscene words but since the censors could not hear the lyrics clearly the song was banned because it had to be obscene.

That is the way it was.

You're right, that is the way it was. In many other areas along with music to be fair.
I wonder if the distant future will really understand that.

Banned lyrics! Silly.
Wooly Bully is obviuosly about my daughters hamster.
This old video proves it.
