Bigzee,
I'll have to Google err... StartPage "WTF is
Sonos?"
![Smile :)](./images/smilies/icon_e_smile.gif)
I just use a USB-powered Celltronix FM transmitter to broadcast nythespirit.com to any FM radio receiver within a 15 meter radius on an open channel (88.1 works here). That covers the whole house, car stereos in the yard, and my shed.
Can be purchased online,
https://www.amazon.ca/Celltronix-06-CE- ... ransmitteror at most big highway truck stops (T/A, Pilot, Petro, Flying J etc.) for around $29-$39
Ahh, OK, I just looked up
Sonos. I'm just an olde-fashioned 4th-or-5th Dimensional kinda guy (apologies to Bryan Leckie) who believes that internet is an unnecessary cost on my cellphone, and uses copper wire to hook up speakers and ethernet

But
Sonos looks very cool, now I remember seeing this here before:
From the nythespirit.com main page, you can click on
My Account -> My Stream URL -> Generate URL.The generated URL can be opened in the
Sonos app.
Another method which should also work:
My Account -> My Player Settings -> Select Player Type.
if you select
External Player (WinAmp, VLC, iTunes, etc.), then when you click on the
Tape Deck button, you will download a playlist file called
nystream.plsThis file can be opened by most external players, probably including
Sonos.
Hope this helps
