Building a Winning Squad in EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Team: Episode 48 of Road to Glory
Welcome back to another episode of EA Sports FC 25 Ultimate Team Road to Glory! In this episode, we're diving into the squad, Rivals rewards, and the latest season, aiming to push further and refine our team. The path to greatness isn’t easy, but with every episode, we work on strengthening our squad, navigating challenges, and EA FC 25 Coins seizing every opportunity to add powerful players to the team. Here's everything that went down in Episode 48.
Current Squad & Rivals Rewards
To kick things off, let’s take a look at the squad. Since the last episode, there haven't been any significant changes, but Rivals rewards give us the chance to potentially enhance the lineup with some high-impact players. Currently, our strike force could use a boost, and ideally, we’d love to snag a top-tier player like Trailblazer Haaland. Adding a standout striker could make a world of difference in the squad’s performance. As we work through the rewards, there’s hope that we’ll be lucky enough to land an elite player that could take us to the next level.
The New Season & Season Pass Concerns
The latest season has arrived in EA FC 25, but the feedback from players has been less than enthusiastic. At the start, we’re greeted with a couple of time-limited loan players: Jack Grealish and Donyell Malen. As a temporary addition, they offer a glimpse of what could be, but for long-term progress, their limited status restricts their value. Throughout the season pass, players can expect to encounter them again with additional time limits. This aspect has sparked dissatisfaction, as players feel that permanent additions would have offered more utility and excitement.
The rewards seem underwhelming for some, with the pass only running 27 days this time. It’s shorter than usual, which has led to mixed reactions. On one hand, a shorter pass means faster progression, but it also translates to fewer rewards and less grind time to rack up points. The highlight, an “Evo” reward, offers a Cosmetic Centurion look, but it hasn’t fully impressed players who expected more impactful additions.
Rivals Rewards Opening: A Mixed Bag
Our Division 2 Rivals rewards have landed, giving us a handful of high-value packs. Moving into the rewards, we get an 82+ Team of the Week player pick, two 50k packs, a 75x40 pack, and two Mega packs.
Our first player pick reveals an 85-rated inform Guendouzi—a low-tier option for Team of the Week, but still a useful card. For our second pick, we snagged an 87-rated Sommer, a tradable item, potentially allowing for some coin generation if we choose to sell. Although we were hoping for a marquee player like Trailblazers Mbappé or Haaland, Guendouzi and Sommer will at least offer some backup in either SBCs or squad depth.
The packs themselves held some surprises. Our 75x30 tradable pack didn’t yield any walkouts, giving us 84-rated Oscar as our top player. On the bright side, an inform card hides further down the pack, so there’s some value there. However, our 75x40 untradable pack delivered some much-needed luck. We pulled three walkouts, including Bruno Fernandes and Hegeberg, who will both add versatility to our midfield and attacking options. For this week, rivals rewards were solid, but still short of transformative.
Divisional Grind & New Rival Rules
One of the significant changes this season is the reduced grind needed to maintain rank in Rivals. We’re now tasked with achieving only 35 points per week instead of the previous 45. It’s a small change but a welcomed one, as it frees up time for other modes and alleviates some of the repetitive grind. Although 35 points still requires some time, the drop feels like a positive step, making it easier to keep up without feeling like a weekly marathon.
In-Game Standouts and Performance
In this episode, our team was firing on all cylinders in Rivals matches, notching some impressive wins. Some of the key players included Virgil van Dijk, who was unstoppable on defense and even contributed with some well-timed goals. The standout moments also came from David Beckham and Sophia Smith, whose playstyle plus traits helped us break down defenses effectively.
On offense, our Power Shot plus plays made the difference in several games. A perfect example was the impact of Adama Traoré, who delivered crucial final passes to keep the momentum going in multiple matches. On the scoring end, DeMarco and Rashford delivered some brilliant long-range goals, exploiting the Power Shot plus feature to its fullest. With these weapons in our arsenal, the team is well-equipped to dominate Div 4 opponents, and the combination of precision and power in finishing is what gives us the edge.
Challenges Ahead: FUT Champs Qualifiers
One area we’re focusing on in the coming episodes is Weekend League qualification. After an unfortunate loss in the previous round, this time we’re looking to hit the required points and secure a spot in FUT Champs. The competition gets tough, and we’ll need to fine-tune the squad’s chemistry and performance to ensure we’re ready for whatever comes our way. Adding players like Jobe Bellingham, who needs some Rival games to qualify for Part One, is part of our plan for optimizing the lineup.
With FUT Champs qualifiers on the horizon, we’re in constant search of tweaks that will give us a competitive edge. We’re experimenting with formations and chemistry, as well as exploring the market for potential additions that could shore up any weak spots. The goal is to get the squad balanced and cohesive, ensuring we’re well-prepared for the intense competition.
Final Thoughts
While we didn’t secure a marquee player like Trailblazers Mbappé, Episode 48 was a step in the right direction. The Rivals rewards and new season updates were enough to bolster the squad, even if only incrementally. The wins in Rivals matches and the progress on our ranking show that the team is trending positively, and our top players are consistently delivering clutch performances.
For future episodes, the goal remains the same: keep pushing, grinding for buy EAFC 25 Coins rewards, and refining the squad. From Rivals matches to FUT Champs qualifiers, we’re ready to take on any challenge that comes our way.
