Shawn Phillips will, once again take the Hugh’s Room stage - bringing some of his most trusted guitars with him.
His 27 albums and his refusal to bow down to commercialism within the music industry have kept Shawn’s worldwide audiences engaged and always showing up to hear and watch as he recreates the songs so many love - the sounds of an entire symphony orchestra - as closely as possible to the original studio recordings, but in real time and solo.
Shawn Phillips gave George Harrison his first Sitar lessons, wrote the music to Donovan’s Season of the Witch, taught Joni Mitchell her first guitar techniques and has played with many legendary musicians including Eric Clapton and Steve Winwood.
We’re looking forward to welcoming back Shawn Phillips and his various “bandmates” to Hugh’s Room
